Steal A Tree Getting Started

Join a 6-player server, claim a rusty vat, steal a common cube sapling, and juice before you flex.

Getting Started

Steal A Tree is a live Roblox simulation tycoon by Juice Society. You play on a 6-player server on PC, mobile, or tablet. The first hour is not a rare hunt. It is a cash loop: steal a common sapling, plant it, juice the fruit, upgrade the rusty vat, then train enough speed to survive the next garden. If you spend that hour chasing a crystal tree you cannot carry home, you will still be broke when the server fills.

Open the official Steal A Tree place, wait for a plot, and take an empty one. The juice vat starts rusty. That machine is your only real income. Other players on the server want the same gnome gardens. They are not local co-op partners.

First hour, in order

  1. Join and claim a plot. Look at the vat, the treadmill, and the Index before you run.
  2. Steal one common sapling. The starter looks like a glowing cube of fruit, not a rainbow monument.
  3. Sprint home. If a gnome tags you, the carried sapling drops. Pick it up only if you can still beat the chase.
  4. Plant on your plot. Wait for fruit. Official gallery fruit you should expect: banana, grape, apple, orange, strawberry, watermelon, pineapple.
  5. Dump fruit into the vat. Cash comes from juice, not from posing next to a rare tree that never gets pressed.
  6. Spend the first coins on vat capacity or juice speed. Cosmetics wait.
  7. Step on the treadmill. Steps now are cheaper than a panic retry later.
  8. Open the Index and claim anything it already recognizes. Discovery rewards are free progress.
  9. Ignore rare-flex. A 1-in-1,000,000 crystal or rainbow tree is a later problem, not a starter assignment.

That is the whole onboarding. The rest of this page is why people skip a step and stall.

Controls you need in the first ten minutes

On PC you move with WASD, interact with E or click, and hold sprint while a sapling is in your hands. On mobile you use the thumb stick and tap the on-screen prompts for grab, plant, and vat. The plot UI exposes the vat, the treadmill, the Index, pets, and the codes button. If a prompt does not fire, you are standing off the pad — step closer, then tap again. The full map lives on Controls. Do not wait until a later garden to learn how drop-on-tag works.

Steal a common sapling, not a showcase

Walk off the plot toward the nearest gnome garden. Starter gardens are the ones your current speed can actually clear. Approach from the side the gnome is not facing, grab the sapling, and run a straight line home. Do not juke through extra trees. Do not stop to screenshot. The steal guide covers stage gates, event candy and ice-cream gnomes, and the rule for walking away from a rare you cannot outrun.

A gnome tag drops the carried sapling. That is not a bug. If you get tagged at the garden lip, you can often scoop the cube and still make it. If you get tagged halfway home with a later-garden tree, leave it. Retrying a dead carry costs more time than planting two commons.

Plant, harvest, juice

Plant in an open plot slot. Commons fill space and fill the vat. That is the point. Harvest when fruit is actually on the tree; standing next to a bare trunk does not print coins. Carry fruit to the vat and juice it. If the vat is slow, that is the upgrade to buy, not a new trail and not a pet you cannot afford to use.

Volume beats rarity in hour one. Six bananas juiced will buy more vat speed than one rainbow tree you are afraid to touch. The spend order is written out in juice upgrades. Read it before you tap a cosmetic.

Treadmill before pride

Later gnome gardens are speed gates. The treadmill converts idle seconds into Steps. Stand on it between harvests. Upgrade the treadmill when the vat is no longer the bottleneck. Trails are a speed cosmetic and multiplier layer; they wait until you own a solid Iron Treadmill. That rule is repeated in treadmill and speed because players break it every weekend.

Index, then pets, then codes

Open the Index after every new fruit. Claim the discovery. That is how the game tracks banana through pineapple, mutations, and pets. Pets exist — the Roblox title includes them — but they sit on the plot and help juice, steals, or speed. They are not a first-hour purchase. When you are ready, how to get pets explains Index, shop, and event routes without copying egg-biome lists from other games.

Check Codes once per session. As of 12 September 2026 there are no confirmed public codes. When a string exists, it typically grants Steps or Speed. Never invent a code. If a friend pastes one, confirm it on the codes hub and follow how to redeem.

What to ignore on purpose

Ignore the ultra-rare crystal or rainbow showcase until your speed clears the garden that holds it. Ignore Trails until Iron Treadmill. Ignore scripts until you can juice without them — the Scripts Hub is optional and never a substitute for the vat. Ignore other players’ flex trees. Their parked rainbow does not pay your upgrades.

Event gnomes (candy, ice-cream, and other gallery variants) look stealable. They are still gnomes. If your Steps cannot beat the tag, you will drop the event sapling in the open and gift it to whoever is behind you.

First-hour mistakes

  • Sprinting into a far garden because the tree is shiny.
  • Buying a trail while the vat is still rusty.
  • Flexing a rare tree that never enters the vat.
  • Forgetting the Index after a new fruit.
  • Standing on the treadmill for one second, then leaving to chase another steal with the same starter speed.
  • Missing the interact prompt on mobile and thinking the sapling is glued down.
  • Assuming the five other players will leave your carry alone in the lane.

After the first hour

When the vat is faster than your harvest, steal a second common and plant it. When two commons overflow the vat, buy capacity. When capacity is fine and gnomes still tag you, buy treadmill. When Iron Treadmill is online, then look at Trails and at mutations. Rank spend against the Tier List Hub only after you have a juice number, not before.

The first hour ends when you can steal a common, juice a harvest, and return to the treadmill without going broke. It does not end when you screenshot a rainbow you dropped in a gnome garden. If you only remember one route, remember this: cube sapling, plant, juice, vat upgrade, treadmill, Index. Everything else on this wiki is a longer version of that sentence.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers Steal A Tree players ask after every weekend patch.

What should I steal first in Steal A Tree?

A common sapling that looks like a glowing cube of fruit. Plant it, juice it, and upgrade the rusty vat. Leave crystal and rainbow showcases until your speed can actually finish the carry. Details: How to Steal Trees.

How do I make money in the first hour?

Juice fruit. Cash does not come from parking a rare tree. Upgrade vat capacity and juice speed before cosmetics. Full spend order: juice upgrades.

Do I need codes as a new player?

Check the Codes Hub once. As of 12 September 2026 there are no confirmed public codes. When one exists it usually grants Steps or Speed, which is useful, not required to start juicing.

When should I use the treadmill?

Between harvests, as soon as the vat is juicing. Later gardens are speed gates. Do not buy Trails until Iron Treadmill. See treadmill and speed.

Should I buy a pet in the first hour?

No. Pets sit on the plot and help later. Fill the Index, upgrade the vat, and train speed first. Then read how to get pets.

Is Steal A Tree local co-op or a Steam game?

Neither. It is a free Roblox tycoon on 6-player online servers, released 23 August 2026 by Juice Society. Play it on PC, mobile, or tablet.
