Steal A Tree Fruit Mutations

Crystal and rainbow fruit juiced, not flexed — hunt, Index, protect, then press.

Mutations

Mutations in Steal A Tree sit on fruit and trees and raise the value of a juice press. That is the whole point. A mutated tree you never harvest is a lamp. A mutated fruit you never drop in the vat is a missed upgrade. The official loop already told you to discover rare fruits and mutations and to complete the Index. This page is how to hunt those rolls, how to get them home, and how to stop turning a high-value tree into a public drop.

Do not expect a 40-name mutation table here. Juice Society has not published a stable public roster of that size, and inventing one would fight the next weekend patch. Use the in-game Index as the live list. What we can say from the official presentation: gallery fruit (banana, grape, apple, orange, strawberry, watermelon, pineapple) can be ordinary or not, common saplings look like glowing cubes, and ultra-rare crystal or rainbow trees are marketed around 1 in 1,000,000. Crystal and rainbow are the showcase layer. Everything else you will learn by filling the Index.

Pair this page with How to Steal Trees for the chase and juice upgrades for why the vat still comes first. Rank value on the Tier List Hub after you have juiced a mutated harvest, not after you screenshotted one.

What a mutation is worth

A mutation is a multiplier on juice, a visual flag, or both. The flag is how other players on the 6-player server notice you. The multiplier is how you buy vat capacity and treadmill tiers. Only the multiplier pays. If you plant a rainbow tree and never press its fruit, you paid gnome risk for a decoration.

Crystal and rainbow showcases are the top of that flag. Treat them as high-risk carries, not as starter goals. If your speed cannot clear the garden with a common cube, you will drop the showcase. Tag-drop rules do not care how rare the model is.

How to hunt mutations without a fake table

  1. Fill ordinary fruit first. Index banana through pineapple. Discovery rewards are free, and you cannot recognize a mutated apple if you have never juiced a normal one.
  2. Keep stealing commons into extra plot slots so more fruit ticks. Volume is more rolls. Volume is also more juice. That double use is why juice upgrades keep telling you to press, not pose.
  3. Enter later gardens only when Steps match. Later gardens and event lawns (candy or ice-cream gnomes in the official gallery) are where showcase trees tend to live. They are still gnome gardens. Read How to Steal Trees and treadmill and speed before you commit.
  4. After every new look, open the Index and claim it. If the game names the mutation, the Index is where that name is true. If a patch adds or removes a look, the weekend patch page should catch it. A fan table of forty names will not.
  5. Stop hunting when the vat is idle. A mutation hunt on a rusty vat is just a slower way to stay poor.

Protecting a mutated tree

Getting it home is half the job. Keeping it until juice is the other half.

  • Do not steal it if you cannot outrun that gnome. Walking away leaves the tree in the garden. Dropping it leaves the tree in the lane.
  • Plant it on your plot immediately. A mutated sapling in your hands is still droppable.
  • Harvest when fruit is actually there, then walk it to the vat. Do not AFK next to a ripe mutated harvest on a busy server.
  • Juice it. Protection is a timer, not a lifestyle. The multiplier exists inside the press.
  • Log the Index before you forget which fruit you just pressed. Discovery claims can pay Steps or cash you would have spent on the next belt upgrade.
  • Do not empty the plot of commons to make a museum. Commons still fund the vat while the rare ticks.

Other players can contest gardens and dropped carries. This game’s official steal target is gnome gardens, not a published player-plot raid tutorial. Still, a mutated drop in the open is public. Play like six people can see the glow.

Crystal and rainbow showcase

The 1-in-1,000,000 marketing is a warning label. You will see the tree. You will want it. The correct sequence is still: can I steal a cube here three times, do I have vat space, will I juice the fruit, did I Index it. If any answer is no, leave the showcase where it is. A rainbow on a gnome pad is a future problem. A rainbow in the dirt behind you is a present donation.

Event gnomes do not change the math. Candy and ice-cream hats still tag. If the event tree is mutated, that is more reason to respect the speed gate, not less.

Spend order when a mutation lands

Juice the fruit. Claim the Index. Put the coins into vat capacity or juice speed if the pad is backing up, otherwise into treadmill toward Iron Treadmill. Pets that help juice can wait until those machines are not starving — how to get pets. Trails still wait for Iron Treadmill. A mutation is not permission to invert the spend order in juice upgrades.

If the mutation made you a target in chat, that is a social problem, not a juice problem. Keep pressing. The vat does not care who is watching.

Hunt with volume, carry only what your Steps can finish, Index the new look, and press the fruit before the server talks you into a museum. That is the mutation guide. There is no secret forty-name list that beats a working rusty vat.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers Steal A Tree players ask after every weekend patch.

Do mutations increase juice value in Steal A Tree?

Yes. Mutations on fruit and trees raise what the vat pays. That value only counts if you press the fruit. Upgrade the printer in juice upgrades.

Should I steal a crystal or rainbow tree the first time I see one?

Only if you already steal commons from that garden without getting tagged. Otherwise you will drop a 1-in-1,000,000 showcase. Chase rules: How to Steal Trees.

Where is the full mutation name list?

In the in-game Index. This wiki will not invent a forty-name table that a weekend patch can wipe. Log each new look and claim the discovery reward.

How do I protect a mutated tree?

Do not steal it under-speed, plant it immediately, harvest when ripe, juice it, and Index it. Do not AFK next to a glowing harvest on a 6-player server.

Are event candy or ice-cream gnomes better for mutations?

They can hold event trees, but they still tag and still drop the carry. Treat them as speed-gated gardens. Train first: treadmill and speed.

Should I flex a mutated tree instead of juicing it?

No. Flex does not buy vat capacity. Press the fruit, then rank remaining targets on the Tier List Hub.
